Mental State: really motivated - this time I'm going to lose the weight for sure!!

I wish it were only 9 pounds...now it's 11. This is the first time I've worked out in way too long. I'm so not in shape, but that's why I'm starting to workout again...none of my clothes are fitting!

Thats right! I'm a 22 now!

One more dress size and I'll be able to wear my size 20 clothes from last year =) WOOO! LOL.

Tips

"Who likes "fair food"? I've found making my own lemon shake-up at home with lots of ice is a refreshing, satisfying pick-me-up snack on a hot day. Of course, I don't use sugar. There are so many variations one can make of such a simple drink. My current favorite is made from orange juice and just a spritz of lemon. Too bad I don't have any mint in my yard here. A sprig of mint would top it off nicely!"

Yeah, I was down to 163 this morning. My weight loss has been very, very slow recently, but it is happening. I've been eating healthy meals for the most part.

I've been checking the answers from everyone on Keem's most recent post about calorie counting and it has helped me realize how important and how individualized our maintenance plans need to be.

I've also come to realize from my own experience that whenever a person goes through major life changes it is extremely important to hang onto healthy habits and figure out how to implement them in our new environment or circumstance.

Little things matter so much!

I go to work at noon today, so intend to eat a big salad when I get home and stay busy organizing in the evening. I don't have a digital scale but think I was down 1/2 lb. this morning. Maybe it will be for sure tomorrow.

Thanks for the encouragement, folks! Perhaps I'll be on a "slow roll" soon. I'd like to pick up the pace to a two lb.loss per week.
